(*About*)

i am here to nurture, to hold tenderly the softness this world offers.

HELLSEA is the practice of Asian American multidisciplinary artist Chelsea Wilkinson. Her work centers around romantic existentialism: expressing her love within the reality of living, and how to create in the moments and sentiments she finds about life that are intimate, joyous, and magical. As she follows her visions, she’s picked up many mediums each over time speaking to her eventually leading her to imprinting her visions to our environments itself: murals, rugs, wall hangings, paintings, and more to designing entire interiors. Her unique style joins abstract color compositions, nostalgic objects, and natural elements.

Outside of her practice she is dedicated to economic justice, serving as the President of USBIG, and Direct Action Campaign Manager for Income Movement, both non-profits are fighting for a basic income. From strategist to graphic designer, she’s found opportunities to bring her creativity to this work, and also continually emphasizes the power of art in our collective fights for a better future.

She fosters dogs for Underdogs Rock Rescue, along with sitting on their board.

When resting, she enjoys watching nature documentaries and anything A24, tending to her aquariums and terrariums, and cuddling with her three dogs billie, mojo jojo, and ducky.
